The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) partners with members of the Kansas City construction industry to offer high school age girls an opportunity to learn in a hands-on, FREE summer day camp the basic skills of carpentry, electrical, and welding. Camp activities also include a field trip, tool demonstrations, and much more!
Journey level tradeswomen will lead the girls with instructors at various locations in safety, carpentry, concrete, painting, plumbing, electrical and welding skills during this free camp. By the end of this week, campers will have several projects to take home with them to show off the skills they learned.
